The history of Spennymoor Town Band can be traced back to the early parts of the nineteenth century. 2024 was the third time the band has qualified for the National Finals under their Musical Director Fiona Casewell in the last seven years.
The band has a progressive Youth Band that offers lessons and a loan of an instrument free of charge. The band is at the heart of the community performing regularly at engagements in the area, Civic events and for local charities and organisations.
Spennymoor Town Band will be performing as part of the Sound of Sunday care home programme.
