The Bearpark and Esh Colliery Band are a 2nd Section band based in Esh Winning, approximately 6 miles west of Durham City. The band have their own rehearsal premises and rehearse on a Thursday night and Sunday morning. The Band usually has a full a varied programme to suit all tastes and feature many of our talented soloists. We have engagements throughout the North East of England throughout the Summer season and a very full list throughout December. The band also competes in contests throughout the year. These range from traditional to entertainment contests. The Band arranges social evening throughout the year including curry nights, special events nights, bowling and pub nights out. There is a good atmosphere within the Band and we welcome anyone that wishes to join team Bearpark or even come along to learn to play an instrument.
