Bill Ryder-Jones first rose to prominence as a founding member of The Coral, achieving number-one albums and earning a Mercury Prize nomination. Since then, he has carved out a remarkable solo career, releasing five critically acclaimed LPs, from his debut – an orchestral score inspired by Italo Calvino’s If on a Winter’s Night a Traveller – to 2024’s stunning chamber-pop masterpiece, Iechyd Da.
Following his recent collaborations with the BBC Concert Orchestra, Iechyd Da will be given a bold new reimagining for this year’s festival. Perrromed alomgside NASUWT Riverside Brass B and this special performance will bring new sound and intensity to an album already hailed as his most ambitious work to date.
