Badcore Horns are a trio of time travelling warriors of sound from the year 2079. They rely on their makeshift weapons of noise crafted from instruments of the ages to create a new kind of music blended from the sounds of history that came together to create Drum & Brass. Heavy vibe infused beats, earth shaking cybersax basslines and blazing technotrumpet to fold even the most stubborn of dimensions in half.
Badcore Horns come from the future. A place full of uncertainties and things not yet written in stone, where the words and actions from those in the present can still make a difference to the planet and the society on it. The three members of Badcore were sent back to meet with groups of open-minded individuals at various important points in history to spread good vibes and defeat uncoolness. These points coincidentally being at clubs and festivals including the well known Glastonbury, Shambala, Bestival and Wilderness Festivals as well as XR Rallies, Special Guest appearances for DJ Chris Tofu MBE and at Swing & Bass nights across the country.
Their Debut EP, SMASH! Was released to critical acclaim on BBC Introducing and tracks were played regularly and backed heavily by Sarah Gosling of BBC Devon and BBC R1. After some planned work behind the scenes Badcore are working on a full album release scheduled for midway through 2020 that moves away from the dirty grassroots feel and lets the futurekids spread their wings a bit further. Until then, they’ll see you in time folks.
To drop the veil for a moment, Badcore are 3 serious musicians with credits stretching from the present to 2077 and back including sessions for Bring Me The Horizon, Alter Bridge, Madness and loads more as well as composition and production work for Universal, BMG, EMI, Sony all in their downtime from this project. The band are working under the care of the Continental Drifts music agency and have been for a year now. Their partnership has gone from strength to strength and they can’t wait to see what the future holds.
